Y-3 SS24 Chapter 2 Collection Thrives in Contrast

For the second chapter of Y-3's Spring/Summer 2024 collection, adidas and Yohji Yamamoto delve even further into Contra-Natural, or "a world in which the duality between the organic and the synthetic produces unexpected beauty."

Defined by juxtapositions, the collection looks to highlight the multi-faceted identity of the Y-3 brand. Dynamic silhouettes include cotton twill workwear-inspired separates, which live in contrast to a line of more classic sporting garments.

Among them, strong overshirts, cargo pants and utilitarian tops keep functionality at the top of mind, while the signature adidas Superstar Tracksuit receives a graphic renovation with topographical piping. Soccer jerseys, boasting rust prints referencing the process of oxidation, round out the apparel.

The footwear category houses a full suite of designs, as usual. The Y-3 PRIME X 2 STRUNG arrives as Yamamoto's take on the adidas running shoe, while the evolved Y-3 ADIOS PRO 3.0 lands in three colorways. Down the line, the Y-3 WATER SLIDE, the Y-3 SANDAL and the Y-3 ITOGO continue the label's exploration of engineered footwear. Closing the collection, accessories include nylon backpacks, totes and holdalls.
