Mikel Arteta accused of being 'disrespectful' to Arsenal star he has 'mugged off'
Former Manchester United star Andy Cole has accused Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta of ‘mugging off’ Aaron Ramsdale. The England international has been forced to play second fiddle to David Raya so far this season, and his time in north London could come to an end this season.

Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Raya arrived as a result, and the quartet have already made an impact at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League and hold all of the aces over Liverpool and Manchester City in the title race, despite having the tougher of the three respective run-ins.
Raya has made 33 appearances since signing for Arsenal on a loan-to-buy deal from Brentford, with Arteta quickly making him his first-choice goalkeeper at the expense of Ramsdale. The latter has warmed the bench for the majority of the campaign, and Cole believes that he has been treated poorly by his manager and should consider moving elsewhere this summer.

If Aaron makes the move, he will be Newcastle’s number-one goalkeeper.
“I think he’s been hard done by, I really do. He was so good for Arsenal last season and then all of a sudden, Mikel Arteta has gone out and got a new goalkeeper and initially claimed that he had two number ones, which was complete nonsense from day one.

I like how he goes about his business and he deserves to be treated with a bit more respect, so if he does move on from Arsenal, then he certainly would do a good job at Newcastle.”
Several sides, including Newcastle and Chelsea, were linked with signing Ramsdale over the summer and his extended spell on the bench will prompt top clubs around Europe to monitor his situation as we head towards the summer transfer window.
