Firefighters battle blaze at Jordan residential block

Firefighters are evacuating residents at a block in Jordan following a blaze at a gym, with some of them waving towels at windows waiting to be rescued. As of 9 am, six people had been injured with most of them suffering burns. One man was unconscious. Police received reports about the fire, on the first floor of New Lucky House on Nathan Road, at about 8 am. The blaze was upgraded to a number three fire shortly after firefighters arrived. Traffic in the area has been disrupted. The Transport Department says part of Hung Hom-bound Jordan Road has been sealed off. The MTR says Exit B1 at Jordan Station is closed because of the fire.
