Ex-Napoli defender Cannavaro: Players must share fault for disappointing season

Former Napoli defender Paolo Cannavaro says the players must take responsibility for their disappointing season.

Cannavaro, however, doesn't doubt their commitment.

He told TMW: "It was a bit too troubled a year, it's not easy when you change three coaches.

"It's the fault of the coaches but there's also the fault of the players who are now trying to react to get to a complicated qualification Champions League completed.

"Has anyone pulled the plug thinking about the transfer market? I don't think so at all, there was a heavy backlash in having started as Italian champions and having found themselves with all the difficulties, even the initial ones."
