British Airways launches double Avios offer on European flights and holidays

Executive Club members can currently get double Avios on British Airways flights and holidays.

Members must pre-register for the promotion and book by 24 April, with travel needing to take place before the end of June.

Under the offer members will earn two Avios for every £1 spent on hotels or car hire as part of a package holiday with British Airways Holidays, instead of the usual one Avios per £1 spent.

The number of Avios earned on flights will depend on the member’s Executive Club status – BA moved to a spend-based system last October, which sees members collect between six and nine Avios per qualifying £1 spent.

British Airways to change ways of earning Avios from October

During the promotional period this rises to between 12 and 18 Avios per £1 spent.

Note that the double Avios offer is valid for up to ten qualifying flights, described as “a single leg of a journey on a British Airways-marketed flight that departs from the UK and lands in a domestic or European location”.

Eligible extras including pre-paid seats, bags or upgrades are also eligible for double Avios.
