Amazon logistics leader John Felton takes new role as CFO of Amazon Web Services

John Felton, a member of Amazon’s senior leadership team who most recently helped lead the company’s logistics operations, took a new role as senior vice president and CFO of Amazon Web Services.

Felton has served in a variety of finance and operations roles in 19 years at the company, most recently as senior vice president of worldwide operations, reporting to Doug Herrington, CEO of Worldwide Amazon Stores. “This is definitely a bittersweet email for me because I have loved my time in Operations,” Felton wrote in a memo to employees, shared on Amazon’s blog. He’ll replace Richard Puccio, who is reportedly leaving the company.Udit Madan, another longtime Amazon logistics exec who most recently led global delivery services, is replacing Felton.
