Good Morning Britain viewers say the same thing as host Adil Ray is 'replaced'

GMB: Rob Rinder reveals nickname Rylan has for him

Since Ben Shephard left Good Morning Britain a few weeks ago, ITV viewers have seen Adil Ray take the reins on Friday episodes. However, this week, the presenter line-up looked slightly different due to the Easter break.

Instead, it was Rob Rinder, who was seen hosting the last show of the week alongside Charlotte Hawkins, who seems to be filling in for regular presenter Kate Garraway. Fans were thrilled with the replacement duo and many are calling for the duo to be a permanent fixture.

Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts, @Speedqueenie said: “I'm glad Rob Rinder is on this morning.” @jo_jojocollins added: “How lovely to see Rob's smiling face along with Charlotte's smiling face this very cold wet morning in the Scottish Borders..”

@Tracycccccccc tweeted: “Good morning Rob. Always nice to see you & see that #GMB have a decent male presenter on the show. Have a wonderful day.” @PaulJon26373897 added: “You should present more often Charlotte well done.x" (sic)

@petertsykes commented: “@GMB please can we have @RobbieRinder as a permanent anchor. He is far superior and I would hazard a guess much preferred over Richard…….please.” (sic)

@AngelaM70938357 added: “@gmb you know it's a good day when it starts with the wonderful @robbierinder.”

Introducing the show, Rob expressed how thrilled he was to be back on the programme.

Speaking to his co-host, he said: “It’s a delight to be back, I love sitting next to you.”

Charlotte replied: “It’s delightful having you back.”

During Thursday’s show, Charlotte spoke to Rob’s close friend Rylan Clark as they showed a snippet of the former X-Factor star praising the presenter.

Rylan commented: “I love Rob to bits, how this show trusts him to stick to a time I do not understand.

“We call him Nonna because he dawdles everywhere! How I did three weeks in Italy with him was quite the feat let me tell you.”

The 35-year-old joked he decided to be interviewed on Thursday instead of Friday as he knew Rob would be at the forefront of the show.

Once he saw the video of his friend, Rob was in hysterics as he expressed they call him Nonna because he walks slowly in cities to take it all in.

This isn’t the first time Rob has presented Good Morning Britain as he’s been a regular stand-in over the years.

Adil took to Instagram at the end of March to inform his followers that he’ll be taking a short break from the ITV show.

He confirmed that he’ll return to Good Morning Britain on April 12 and will be presenting quite a few of the Friday shows until September.

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am.
