EastEnders fans have been rushing to BBC iPlayer to catch up with the latest episodes of the show, as tension continues to mount in Walford. It comes after the BBC announced a scheduling shakeup that has left viewers wildly speculating about the reason behind it.

Fans appear convinced a big arrest or confession is just around the corner following the discovery of Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) body. BBC viewers have been left wondering whether the six will stick to their story now that his corpse has been found.

While fans know the mechanic was killed at Christmas by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), the situation remains tense as matters still haven’t been resolved. As it turns out, Linda actually stabbed Keanu instinctively with a meat thermometer in order to save Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), whom he was trying to kill.

The two women, along with the rest of the six - Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) - covered up the death and buried his corpse under the café. Before the body was found, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) was able to remove his wife Denise’s necklace from the site to avoid incriminating her.

It was a drunk Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) who made the terrible discovery, with police soon stepping onto the scene. As the fictional London town was thrown into chaos over the news that a body had been found, fans were left wondering if one of the six would crack under the pressure.

Now, fans are predicting a very dramatic episode is on its way, as the BBC announced there will be no episode of EastEnders on Thursday, April 18.

This is because, the broadcaster is releasing an extended hour-long episode of the show on Wednesday, April 17.

Soap viewers are convinced the hour of television will be dedicated to the long-running storyline, with one predicting: "I'll take a guess that Linda confesses to killing Keanu."
