Man Utd make stubborn Jadon Sancho decision after Dortmund beat Bayern
Manchester United are reportedly running the risk of pricing out potential suitors for Jadon Sancho in the summer, despite his impressive performance in Borussia Dortmund’s 2-0 win over Bayern Munich. Harry Kane’s Bundesliga hopes were dashed by Sancho and co. with the United loanee rediscovering top form.

The 24-year-old has been offered a lifeline in Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s arrival at Old Trafford, but Ten Hag may still remain in charge next season, despite sweeping changes by INEOS.
Sancho’s future is far from clear but GiveMeSport claim that while United are open to letting the winger leave on another loan or permanent basis, Ratcliffe will only sanction a deal if it is done on United’s terms.
They are hoping to recoup a significant portion of the £73million that was originally spent on the England man in 2021. However, his form in the Premier League has suggested that there may be very few willing to meet that valuation.

That includes Dortmund, who would like to keep Sancho beyond this season but a significant transfer fee and huge wage demands are proving prohibitive. Sancho is one of United’s highest earners and with over two years left on his current contract, has the right to demand that his salary be matched until 2026.
However, United are unlikely to find a suitor who is prepared to pay upwards of £30m and also meet Sancho’s demands. Despite stunning in a huge Bundesliga clash and upstaging Kane, United stubbornly using that performance as a benchmark and informing bidders that a deal for Sancho will only be completed on their terms may be risking the chance of a transfer taking place.

A similar situation could be affecting United’s plans to sell Mason Greenwood, who is currently out on loan at Getafe. There had been rumoured interest from the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, but once again an asking price in the region of £35m are dissuading teams from bidding.
United have notoriously struggled to offload their players in recent years, having made a profit on just four stars they have bought and sold in the last decade. Javier Hernandez, Daley Blind, Chris Smalling and Dan James make up the elusive list and Ratcliffe is keen to improve that area of the club.
However, sticking to his guns and requesting a huge fee for Sancho when the demand is not there could end up biting Ratcliffe back. Instead of working with Dortmund or any other suitor on a reasonable price, United risk alienating bidders and could be forced into another stubborn saga with a lack of options.
