Darragh Ennis, a chaser on The Chase, was upset after a contestant made a big mistake on the show. On Wednesday's episode (March 27) of the ITV show, Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants who were hoping to win some money.

They had to face Darragh, who became a chaser in 2020. Romanda, the second contestant to take on The Menace, did really well in the cash builder round and brought £6,000 to the table.

Even though Darragh tried to tempt Romanda with a higher or lower sum, she stuck to her original offer. During the tense head-to-head, Darragh quickly caught up.

When they were asked: "What organisation did Martin Bell leave to stand as an independent MP in 1997? " Romanda didn't know which answer to pick. As time ran out, Bradley said: "Need an answer. Now!" But Romanda ran out of time and couldn't move forward on the board.

When asked what she would have chosen, Romanda said BBC. She was disappointed when BBC turned out to be the right answer.

As Darragh moved one spot closer, he said: "This is not how we ever want to win. Make sure you get an answer in, even if it's just a guess."

Romanda lost her game on The Chase because she ran out of time, and Darragh Ennis said, "There's nothing that we want less than to get someone because they've run out of time.

"You knew that answer. You probably would've got through. You're desperately unlucky."

Haydn was the first contestant to reach the final round but only added £200 to the prize pot after taking a low offer.

After Romanda left, Makyla faced Darragh with £5,000 on the line and succeeded in joining the final chase.

Roger also made it through, bringing the team's total to £9,200.

In the final chase, Darragh told the team to pick up the pace, but they managed just 11 correct answers.

They executed three pushbacks, but The Menace caught them with half a minute to spare.
